Problem Solver: Give an Attack, Heroics, or Move token from the pool to another Hero.
A Wild symbol accompanies each instance of “Problem Solver.” This ability solidifies Star-Lord’s position as the Guardians of the Galaxy’s leader. It’s a great teambuilding effect that’s versatile and can be useful during any phase of the game (before or after a Villain can be damaged).
No matter who Star-Lord’s teammates are and the game state, any of these tokens can help.
Overview
Star-Lord has above average Wild, Heroics, and Move symbols, but he’s well below average with Attack. He works best against Villains with plenty of Threats that require Heroics and rescuing Civilians. Peter is a great team player. The tokens he gifts teammates with “Problem Solver” can turn the tide of a game.
But if you face a Villain who requires a lot of Attack, you may want to pair him with teammates who deal a lot of damage.
Good Teammates
Star-Lord has a couple of great options in the Guardians of the Galaxy Remix expansion if you want to stay on theme. Gamora and Rocket both deal copious amounts of damage and can benefit from Star-Lord’s tokens. It’s almost as if they were designed to be played with Star-Lord. Groot can benefit just about any team with the special abilities present on all but two of his cards.
If you want to go off theme, Black Widow, Wasp, and Hulk are good options from the core set.
